FUNAI will never rent or sell your personal information to any third party. FUNAI does not tolerate nor engage in any form of 'spam' email or unsolicited telemarketing, and we guarantee that your personal information will only be used by FUNAI representatives in response to your requests for assistance or to process your product orders, with the following exceptions:
- with your permission, we may occasionally share your contact information with a FUNAI Authorized Service Center in order to expedite any repair or warranty claim you may have;
- when we believe that such disclosure is required by law; and
- to disclose information that is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our Terms and Conditions of Use.
Requests for Service
When you request service, FUNAI will ask for your personal and contact information so that we may respond to your request for service and fulfill your current and future customer support needs. We do not share that information with third parties unless necessary to provide you with the service requested.
When ordering products from this site, you will be asked to provide contact information such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, and credit/debit card information. We will use the information you provide only to process your order. We do not share that information with third parties except to the extent necessary to complete the order.
Voluntary Customer Surveys
We may periodically conduct both business and individual customer surveys. We encourage our customers to participate in these surveys because they provide us with important information that helps us to improve the types of services we offer and how we provide them to you. Your personal information and responses will remain strictly confidential, even if the survey is conducted by a third party. Participation in our customer surveys is voluntary.
We take the information we receive from individuals responding to our customer surveys and aggregate it with the responses of other customers to create broader generic responses to the survey questions (such as gender, age, residence, hobbies, education, employment, industry sector, or other demographic information). We then use the aggregated information to improve the quality of our services to you, and to develop new services and products. This aggregated, non-personally identifying information may be shared with third parties.
While we make every effort to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot and do not guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party "hackers" from illegally obtaining this information. We will make every effort to protect your data on our internal systems, but transmissions to and from FUNAI are initiated at your own risk.
Without limiting the generality of subparagraph (a) above, the security of your financial information (i.e., credit/debit card information) is of paramount importance to FUNAI. We automatically encrypt your financial information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Socket Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits. Once your financial information reaches us, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Our servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet.
FUNAI reserves the right to revise, amend, or modify this policy and our other policies and agreements at any time and in any manner and without notice to you.
